Looking out at the storm...

Issuing a challenge-

If you are a photographer and reader of this blog I challenge you to photograph something out of, or from, one of your house windows today. I’ve done it plenty in the past and I’m still finding different ways to capture images. Only rule is that you have to stay within the inside boundaries of your home. If you meet the challenge and photograph and post something leave a link in the comments for us all to enjoy.

What can I say? Finding something to photograph from the comfort of my home in inclement weather still holds a challenge for me that I can’t ignore yet.  At least I feel like I photographed something during this snowstorm while waiting for conditions to improve for travel.

The conditions around us change every day even if where we live doesn’t. I find that when you force yourself to see images in your everyday surroundings it helps you to see images better in places that are visually new to you much easier.

Here are a few photos taken from inside my place posted on the old blog format- here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.  And of course a few more I posted within the last few days.

Be safe and have fun today whether you are weathered in or some place more tropical!

This is cool Dan. I dig your style and the tone you build into your images!!!

I’m SERIOUSLY jones’n to get in open water with the kayak and/or fly rod. The snow isn’t helping any.

Here’s the link to my capture according to the rules of the Challenge…

    Good Times!!!

  3. Thanks Hank. Looks great. I’m sure there are many a fly being tied today by fishermen anxiously awaiting great water to fish in the spring! I like the touch of color focusing me on the fly.

  6. Thanks Thom. If post it somewhere that everyone can see forward a link to share with everyone!

  7. Excellent Ed. I like the combination of warmth and growth of the indoor plants with the snow covered pine tree outside. And that cute little teddy bear is a nice accent to top it off. Very nice.

  10. Thanks Don. Those are some cool icicles and the flash reflection actually adds to the image. Definitely gives the feeling of it being a good day to stay inside!

  12. Thanks Mike! Love that image. Nice and super clean bird image. Who says you have to be outside sitting in a blind for winter song birds!

  13. Thank you Karen. Not to late to post a link to one of yours!

  16. Thanks Gabrielle. Wondering the same thing about my roof too! Like the new site layout.

  17. Thanks Anita. We have to think of our little feathered friends don’t we?! I miss having an active feeder in the winter as it always adds enjoyment to watch them come and go!
