Adirondacks- Tree, Fence, & Light

I put my back to the b&w stream scene posted immediately before this image. While waiting for my friend Russ Devan to finish an image that he saw along the stream I just had to find another image, or two while I waited. I just had to. Sometimes you just have to make an image out of nothing.  This was the first indication of how fast the clouds and light could change in the Adirondacks.  We would see tons of weather and tons of changing light over our three day weekend.

This is a lovely rich dark image….I love the painterly feel, the wonderful scumbled textures.
It is extremely crisp yet somehow all the edges appear softened. The warmth and depth really appeal to me.

So timeless. Love the processing. Like an oil painting.

A very lovely series, especially like the DOF here.

The poppy series is very nice and the images represent your ability to “see” when exploring a subject. Given the conditions, the technical aspects are very good. My favorite is the group of three poppies. Nicely done, hope you enjoyed the day.

Coming in every few days always gives me a range of images. The latest flower real nice (especially to me the curves of the flowers, repeated in the background, vs the equally sharp & out-of-focus leaves), but the lighthouse w/ the beam against the cloud just jumps out.

Such a perfectly quiet and idyllic scene. Lovely landscape.
